The ladies of St. Paul's who manage Father Pepe's Food Pantry say the pantry has been successful in helping feed the less fortunate in the community and the parish. Parishioners provide the bulk of the incoming supplies and have done so since the pantry's inception in early 2012, organizers said. The food bank, the ministerial association and Pastor Gayle of the Methodist Church have been supportive of the pantry endeavor, Dora Dean said. Fr. Pepe's Food Pantry is currently in need of individual microwave or quick-serve meals, canned meats, canned/bottled pasta sauce and rice. The pantry ladies and friends most recently provided for and cooked a meal for the homeless on Sunday, June, 23.
