I am asking for all of the attention of local ranchers and any other people who hate abuse to animals or humans to attend a meeting for a local shelter I am trying to open.
I am in need of volunteers and many supplies to build the buildings for shelter for the animals, feed, medication for them, shoeing help and financial help if at all possible. We are also asking for help for three- or four-bedroom older mobile homes that will fit to code for the shelters for the women or volunteers to build a large home with many bedrooms.
We are just starting this up and are very strapped for any supplies of any kind. Any help would be appreciated. We need construction and housing help, shelter for the animals, wells, septic and solar.
I am trying to build a horse rescue as well as a domestic violence area where we can rehabilitate the animals and match their personalities with those of the abused women. She will go through a therapy program with the horse and learn how to care for and take responsibility for and learn that even though someone may be physically larger and stronger than them, they can survive and can control their own environments.
We are hoping to help them with gainful employment as well as help them learn to be self sufficient.
