Helen Jean Bianchi "Jeannie," 84, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Battle Mountain General Hospital in Battle Mountain.
Jeannie was born Oct. 22, 1928, in Modesto, Calif., to Frank and Nellie Mendoza. She met Ron Bianchi and they started dating in June 1954 in Salinas, Calif., and were married in February 1955 in Castroville, Calif. During their 58 years of marriage the couple has lived in Porterville, Calif., Battle Mountain and Winnemucca. Jeannie was a bookkeeper for Security Pacific Bank, C&S Distributing and Battle Mountain Auto Supply.
Jeannie enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, bowling, fishing and traveling with her husband.
Jeannie is survived by her husband Ron Bianchi, son John Bianchi (Lisa), grandchildren Jackie Miles (Matt), Joe Bianchi (Jonna) and Jacob Welty; great-grandchildren Alayna, Brett and Chloe Miles and Joelle Bianchi. She was preceded in death by her son Albert Bianchi, her sister Dorthy Johnston, and brothers Walter and Albert Mendoza.
Services for Jeannie will be held Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at 12 p.m. at Battle Mountain Civic Center in Battle Mountain.
