WINNEMUCCA - The Humboldt County Board of Commissioners will hold their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in courthouse meeting room #201.
Discussion and action on the correction and possible approval of the Sept. 6 and Sept. 19 meeting minutes follows the call to order, Pledge of Allegiance and public comment.
The administrative report follows at 9:35 a.m. Consent agenda items include a request for adjustments to the Humboldt County Real Property Tax Roll and authorization of the chairman's signature on a contract with the State of Nevada, Department of Health and Human Services related to services provided to children with developmental disabilities or related conditions.
Solid waste and public lands planning matters, miscellaneous reports and correspondence and claims for expenditures of county funds follow.
Commissioner Tom Fransway will provide a report at 9:45 a.m. on a recent PILT fly-in to Washington, D.C., that he attended. That will be followed at 10 a.m. by a Liquor Board review of a license application for the Pilot Travel Center, which had a liquor license under the former manager's name. At 10:15 a.m. commissioners will hear a request from Lowry High School for a grant to cover rental of the Indoor Event Center for graduation.
The appointment of Andree Rose to the Humboldt Development Authority Board as the "Financial Sector" representative is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. That will be followed at 10:35 a.m. by the adoption of a proclamation designating the month of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Humboldt County. At 10:45 a.m. commissioners will hear a request for a waiver to the attrition policy for a vacant Administrative Clerk IV position in the Planning Department.
Planning matters follow at 10:50 a.m. VH-11-12 is a medical health hardship application submitted by Mary E. Stacy, requesting to allow placement of a second dwelling for her father, Neils Smith, so that she may provide him with needed assistance. The property is located at 3030 Mars Ave.; assessor's parcel #013-457-01. Also scheduled is a request from Desert Mountain Surveying as the agent for Patrick Morressey to request a waiver of Condition 6 (related to development standards for property within ½ mile of the City Limits) related to PH-11-14.
At 11:05 a.m. commissioners will hear a request from the Winnemucca Rural Fire District to discuss demolition of the building on the corner of Baud and 4th Street which was donated to Humboldt County for the benefit of the Winnemucca Rural Fire District and discussion of the possibility of the county tearing the structure down.
Road matters follow at 11:20 a.m. Items include a report of pending Road Department projects and miscellaneous road-related matters (if any).
