WINNEMUCCA - Lowry High School graduates Cole Hatcher and Mitch Pollock competed at the 36th annual Cowboy/Cowgirl Boxing Smoker on Saturday, Jan. 26, in Twin Falls, Idaho.
The College of Southern Idaho rodeo team put the event on, with 4,000 people packing the Expo Center.
Hatcher fought at 170 pounds, and was the second of 13 fights on the night. He came out on fire and ended strong, receiving a decision victory over his opponent.
Pollock fought at 140 pounds and used his quickness to his advantage throughout the three one-minute rounds. In the end the judges decided on a draw in his bout.
The duo said it was a great experience getting in the ring and they had a lot of fun.
