WINNEMUCCA - Recently representatives from Barrick Turquoise Ridge visited Grass Valley Elementary School to view the new playground equipment that was purchased by the Grass Valley PTA using grant money from their company.
Barrick gratefully donated $3,500 toward the cost of the project. The equipment was purchased this summer and installed by the Humboldt County School District Maintenance Department in September.
The project was completed in less than a year thanks to successful fundraising campaigns and the grant from Barrick Turquoise Ridge. This is the first significant improvement to the playground equipment in nearly 23 years.
