Grass Valley Elementary School hosted a Writers Workshop for third and fourth grade students Dec. 6. Any student that wanted to attend was invited. Despite the winter snow storm, 46 students attended. Students were divided into small groups with one teacher and a high school Honor Society member volunteer. They were introduced to different styles of writing and were encouraged to use these styles as a writing model.Students illustrated their story, using different art mediums. Each student's story and illustration will be published in a book that will be kept in the school library.
After their work, the authors played Star Wars in the gym and were treated to ice cream sundaes.[[In-content Ad]]
