Gun bans don't end violent crime

Editor:

Here are the latest murder statistics for the world, according to the World Health Organization. There are at least 108 countries in the world with higher murder rates than the U.S. A few of them include: Honduras 91.6 murders per 100,000 citizens, Venezuela 45.1, U.S. Virgin Islands 39.2, South Africa 31.8, Puerto Rico 26.2, Panama 21.6, Greenland 19.2, Mexico 16.9, North Korea 15.2, Peru 10.8, Russia 10.2, Philippines 5.4, Cuba 5.0, the United States 4.2.

Besides these listed, there are 94 other countries with an average murder rate above 15 murders per 100,000 citizens. Most of the 108 countries are considered civilized.

Now here is the kicker. Every one of the 108 countries has a ban on guns. In those countries, the good people cannot defend themselves from the bad guys, who often possess illegal weapons.

Would you like to try and defend your home, yourself, your family members, with sticks and stones, when the bad guys are coming at you with assault rifles? If you are for total gun ban, then just move to one of those gun-banned countries and prepare to die. The bad guys will accommodate you. As for me and my family, we stay in the good old U.S.A. where we can legally protect ourselves with firearms.
