Gregorio (Greg) Madriaga Bermeosolo (II) passed away on March 1, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio Bermeosolo (I) and Ignasia Bermeosolo (neé Madriaga), and his beloved wife, Jenelle, who passed away on Dec. 30, 2014. He is survived by his brother, Jose Luis Bermeosolo (wife, Maite and nieces, Nerea and Itxaso), of Gernika, Spain, and his son, Gregorio (Greg) Jose Luis Bermeosolo (III).
Greg was born in Elko, Nev., in 1964 and was raised in Winnemucca, Nev., where he graduated from Lowry High School in 1982. He began his employment with Raley's Supermarkets in 1981 and retired as assistant store director in 2012. He married Jenelle Kochevar, his wife of 22 years, in 1992. His son, Greg, was born in 1993 and the family relocated to Sparks, Nev., in 2012 after his retirement from Raley's.
Greg enjoyed hunting, hiking and the outdoors. He also had a passion for cooking and preparing Basque food. He was a man of faith and was proud of his Basque heritage. He loved music and pursued this interest as a classical guitar builder. Greg also enjoyed his many family excursions to Spain where he visited his extended family.
Services will be held at 12 p.m. in the Sierra Chapel at Walton's Funeral Home in Reno, Nev., on March 15, 2015. Guests will be received by the family following the services at The Montage Condominiums at 255 North Sierra Street.
