WINNEMUCCA - The 2012 Winnemucca junior golf season came to an end Wednesday with the Jeff Wade Memorial golf tournament, which was won by Ethan Gray.
Gray carded a 2-over par 74 at Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course. Chris Mendoza was two shots back at 76 for second and Andy Mendoza was third with an 80. Chris Dendary (83) and Josh Rose (92) rounded out the top five in the 15- to 17-year old division. Jarrin Conn (96), Hunter Dimock (100) and Nate Hales (111) completed the scores.
Alyssa Dendary carded an 89 to lead the way in the girls 15- to 17-year-old division, while Ning Landt was second with a 103.
In the boys 13- to 14-year old division, Trevor Stannard won with a 46. Garrett Gray placed second at 77, Roland Clement (82) was third and Jacob Hales (87) finished fourth.
Elise Rose took home the top spot in the girls 13- to 14-year-old division with a 66, while Tatayana Carlson won the girls 11- to 12-year-old age group with a round of 54. Brooklyn Backus (58) placed second, Hannah Havens (69) third and Kaitlyn Morton (81) was fourth.
Kobe Stoker bested the field in the boys 11 to-12-year-old group with a 52, with Ren Mattson second at 54. Zane Fifield shot a 56 to place third and Dillon Patterson (57) and Dalton Irons (60) rounded out the top five. Peyton Capellen (64), Zach Wolverton (64), Will Kracaw (69), Levi Christopherson (72), Chayton Drobny (74), Bradon Thomas (75), Chris Kerns (77) and Caden Smith (83) rounded out the scores in the division.
Hunter Mullins shot a 67 to win the boys 8- to 10-year-old group. J.J. Backus was second with a 70, Cal Peters was third at 71 and Kole Mattson placed fourth with a score of 73.
In the girls 8- to 10-year-old division, Lily Landt won with a 46, Megan Li and Rylee Clement tied for second at 81 and Emily Backus (83) placed fourth.
