WINNEMUCCA - Ethan Gray won the Jeff Herzog junior golf tournament, held last Wednesday at Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course, with a 5-over par 77.
Josh Rose was second at 7-over par 79, followed by Josh Shaver (89) and Hunter Dimock (89).
Alyssa Dendary shot an 88 to win the girls 13-to 14-year-old division at 88.
In the boys 13- to 14-year-old age group that played nine holes, Wes Teague won with a 43. Trevor Stannard was second at 52 and Steven Bosch third with a round of 53. Collin Holt was fourth with a 62, Garret Gray fifth at 72 and Roland Clement sixth at 78.
Dillon Patterson won the boys 11- to 12-year-old division with a nine-hole score of 53. Zane Fifield placed second with a round of 64 and Ren Mattson was third at 67. Rounding out the scores were Braydon Thomas (69), Kobe Stoker (70), Will Kracaw (70), Caden Smith (81), Chayton Drobny (85) and Mateo Hernandez (85).
In the boys 8- to 10-year-old group that played four holes, Zach Wolverton won with a 29 and J.J. Backus was second at 34. Cole Matson finished third at 35 and Hunter Mullins and Cal Peters tied for fourth at 37. Bodi Miller and Gratian Dawson tied for sixth with rounds of 39 and Levi Christopherson and Tyler Piquet each carded a 40.
Lily Landt shot a 30 for four holes to win the girls 8- to 10-year-old age group. Kaitlyn Morton was second at 35 and Megan Li was third with a 36. Tea Novi was fourth at 38 and four girls shot 40, including Emily Backus, Rylee Clement, Riley Hockensmith and Haddie Michael.
Tatyana Carlson won the girls 11- to 12-year-old age group with a round of 65 for nine holes. Brooklyn Backus was second at 67 and Hannah Havens (93) was third.
