WINNEMUCCA -- Local girls received some expert coaching on the fundamentals of the game at a basketball camp held at Lowry High School June 17-20.
The camp was run by Lady Buckaroo first-year varsity head coach Chelsea Cabatbat, veteran coaches on her staff and members of the Lowry girls basketball team.
The camp focused on fundamentals and learning the characteristics of Lowry High School basketball. Staff wanted to create a welcoming atmosphere filled with a balanced mix of fundamentals and fun. Girls participated in a number of drills designed to help young players increase their basketball skills and overall knowledge of the game.
All proceeds from the camp go to the Lowry girls basketball program.
