George E. Cross Jr. passed away peacefully in his home in Beatty on Sunday, April 22, 2012.
George was born on Feb. 24, 1951, in Red Bluff, Calif., to George (Bud) and Doris Jean Cross.
George is survived by his two brothers, Bill (Iky) Cross of La Grande, Ore., and Rick (Betty) Cross of Elko.
George was married to LaSara Ochoa of Beatty, and all together George and LaSara had eleven children. Clorinda (Shawn) Cosper of Battle Mountain, Jeannie (Chuck) Smith of Las Vegas, Maria (Roberto) Damian of Beatty, Carmelo (Megaly) Mendoza of Beatty, Salvador (Onalee) Mendoza of Beatty, Maria Mendoza of Beatty, Francisco J. Mendoza of Beatty, Florita (Eddie Shemp) Mendoza of Pahrump, Carlos (Emily Salisbury) Mendoza of Beatty, Jose A. Mendoza of Beatty, and Miguel Mendoza of Beatty.
George had fifteen grandkids that he loved dearly and thought the world of. He also had many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Doris Jean Cross.
At George's request there will be no services but, there will be a gathering in Austin for friends and family.
