Gene passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2012, at age 79 with his devoted wife Mary at his side.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary, his brother Dale (wife Leslie), daughter Elaine, devoted brother-in-law, Bill (wife Arlene), lifetime family friend, Gene Walkama, granddaughters, great-granddaughters, aunts, cousins, in-laws and friends who all loved him dearly.
Gene was pre-deceased by daughters Debbie and Stephanie, and his parents Sam and Della Bailey.
Gene was born in Cheyenne, Wyo., and raised in Lovelock. He graduated from Pershing County High School in 1950 and attended Utah State for two years before moving to Henderson. He retired from Suburban Propane Company in 1994.
The memories Gene leaves behind for all who loved him will keep him in our hearts forever.
