Gabriel (Gabe) McFarland

Gabriel (Gabe) McFarland was born April 10, 2003, in Ellsworth, Maine. He passed away unexpectedly and much too soon on March 4, 2013.

Gabe touched so many people in his short lifetime. He loved all animals especially his canine companions Milo and Lexo. He enjoyed drawing, lego's, comics, and collecting things of many kinds. Gabe was "all boy" and constantly in motion. He loved the outdoors and going exploring. And many of the best times were with his dad. Gabe was kind, caring, and showed pure selflessness when it came to his younger brother and sister. Gabe, wise beyond his years was happiest in the company of his family and many friends from MDI Maine to Winnemucca, Nev.

Gabe's all around love for his family, free spirit, pleasant sense of humor, contagious smile and twinkle in his beautiful brown eyes will never be forgotten and forever missed. Gabe is loved and survived by his father: Michael McFarland of Trenton Maine, mother: Crystal Urquhart-Asbury, stepfather: Jon Asbury, sister: Pixie Asbury, and brother: Jobe Asbury, all of Winnemucca, Nev., formally of Trenton, Maine. Grandparents: Betty Urquhart and Stan Ward of Ellington Florida, and Joyce and James McFarland of Bar Harbor, Maine. Aunt: Jessica Sawyer of Coco Beach, Fla., aunts and uncles: Sarah (Matt) McEachern, and Bethany (Mat) Reece all of Bar Harbor, Maine. Cousins: Krome Saravia of Coco Beach Fla., Ashley and Lindsey McEachern, and Calie and Bailey Reece of Bar Harbor, Maine

In addition many cousins, great-aunts, uncles, special friend of his father's Vicky Grindle, and family and friends in Bar Harbor, Maine. Gabe is preceded in death by his Papa: Mo Rich who was very dear to Gabe. Gabe's family would like to thank Sonoma Heights Elementary School, Humboldt General Hospital EMT and emergency room staff, Sheriff's department, and to everyone in Maine and Winnemucca who have reached out with their prayers, thoughts, and overwhelming acts of kindness.
