Local kids (and their parents) had a fun time at the Humboldt County Library's kick-off party for the Summer Reading Program earlier this month. Library officials said more than 250 children signed up. The library provided a free pancake breakfast, carnival-style games, face painting and more. Kids signed up for the program can win prizes for reading this summer.
