WINNEMUCCA - The Frugal Flamingo Thrift Store has announced a big discount for area seniors.
Beginning immediately, area seniors will receive a 50 percent discount on all clothing at the store every Tuesday. The discount applies to any person age 55 years or older.
"We are excited to provide this little bit of extra support to our seniors," said Humboldt Volunteer Hospice Executive Director Sherry Smith.
She continued, "We know most of them are on fixed incomes, and we have received such wonderful support from the community, we want to pass that along."
All profits from the Frugal Flamingo support the Humboldt Volunteer Hospice in its mission to honor and support individuals in the Humboldt County community who are suffering from a chronic, debilitating or terminal illness.
All hospice care is provided at no cost to patients. Families do not need a doctor's referral in order to access hospice services.
The Frugal Flamingo Thrift Store is located at 720 E. Fourth St. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
