WINNEMUCCA - It's back to school time at the Frugal Flamingo.
The thrift shop, located at 720 E. Fourth Street, has rolled out its entire supply of backpacks, school supplies, clothing and shoes to help area kids get ready to hit the books.
"Stop by and check us out," said Executive Director Sherry Smith. "We know how expensive it can be to get the clothing and supplies students need for another school year, and we are definitely here to help."
All proceeds from the Frugal Flamingo Thrift Shop help support individuals in the Humboldt County community who are suffering from a chronic, debilitating or terminal illness. All hospice care is provided at no cost to patients. Families do not need a doctor's referral in order to access hospice services.
The Frugal Flamingo Thrift Shop is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Donations are gladly accepted during the store's hours of operation.
