Friends of Nevada Wilderness offer volunteer opportunities throughout the summer

WINNEMUCCA - Friends of Nevada Wilderness is a non-profit organization that has been protecting and preserving wild lands in Nevada for 27 years through stewardship projects. They are looking for volunteers this field season in the Santa Rosa Ranger District. Join their efforts at www.nevadawilderness.org.

Join with Nevada Outdoor School and the Friends of Black Rock as well as other partner groups for a weekend of fun, education, exploration, stewardship, music and more out in the Black Rock Desert. Santa Rosa Wilderness Trail Maintenance (1 hour north of Winnemucca)

Lye Creek Campground Maintenance: Santa Rosa Wilderness (1 hour north of Winnemucca)

Santa Rosa National Public Lands Day (1 hour north of Winnemucca)

National Public Lands Day in the Black Rock Desert (2 hours west of Winnemucca)
