BATTLE MOUNTAIN - For the beginning of the new year and the first board meeting of the new year, the Lander County School Board recognized four deserving people.
Anna Penola recognized Sallie Snapp for years of service to the district office and hard work. Her work ethic is impeccable and she works weekend and late nights if necessary. She is very professional and an asset to the district and staff.
Make Lake recognized Kim Whitehead. She has been involved with our school for many years. Whitehead always helps out and never says no. She has coached, been a substitute, volunteer and whatever is needed of her.
Todd Thompson recognized Angie Gonzalez. It seems whenever there is someone in need she is always there. She works tirelessly on events and projects to support those in need. She is very involved with the community and we are glad to have her leadership.
Susan Davis recognized Amy Nelson. She was nominated twice for NASB Administrator of the Year. She wears many hats. She is not just a principal. Davis has worked with Nelson for many years and we are lucky to have her in our district.
