Nevada students face future tuition and fee increases
Join the Great Basin College Student Government Association for a Student Forum to discuss tuition and fee increases that may be coming.
It will be held Friday, Feb. 14 at the High Tech Center Room 120 on the Great Basin College Campus in Elko from 9-10 a.m.
There are also going to be interactive video connections with the branch centers located in Battle Mountain, Ely, Pahrump and Winnemucca.
Free food and refreshments are going to be provided by the SGA for attendees.
The Student Forum this year is going to be unique because Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Crystal Abba, will be attending to give information and answer any questions.
These proposed rates would be increasing for all of the public higher education institutions in the state and for GBC specifically that means a 4 percent increase every year, for the next four years; a total of 16 percent.
This Forum is for anyone interested in informing themselves about these proposed future tuition and fee increases.
