WINNEMUCCA - Katy Fox has been selected to display her art pieces at the Visual Art Blast in Reno. This juried show runs from Aug. 27 - Sept. 9 and is at the McKinley Arts and Culture Center, 925 Riverside Drive in Reno. She will be present at this show on Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Fox recently graduated with her Masters in Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Calif. She was a featured artist in July 2011 at the Humboldt County Library and taught a plein air workshop in Paradise in May, 2012. Her work was also on display at the Humboldt County Museum Christmas Show in 2011.
Fox is the daughter of Jerome and Sue Fox, former Winnemucca residents.
