WINNEMUCCA - According to a Winnemucca Police Department press release, Zachary Formby, 25, a resident of Winnemucca, resigned his position as a Winnemucca police officer effective Nov. 23 following convictions on three counts of domestic battery by the Union Township Justice Court.
The Winnemucca Police Department turned the criminal investigation of the off-duty conduct which led to Formby's arrest and prosecution over to the Humboldt County Sheriff's Department and placed Formby on administrative leave following receipt of the initial report in August.
