Floyd Leland Blackburn, 90, of Orovada, passed away on April 15, 2012, in Orovada, he passed peacefully in his sleep.
Floyd was born Sept. 10, 1921, in Sacramento, Calif., to Floyd Samuel Hart and Mary Esther Gildea.
On April 25, 1942, he married Virginia Gutheridge and they have lived in Orovada since 1996.
Floyd attended U.S. Navy Electronics Schools Management Courses. He was a U.S. Navy - Chief Radio Technician, He was in World War II - Pacific Theater.
Floyd worked for Aeronautics Instrumentation Technician Aerojet General, Sacramento, Calif.
He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was a member of the Masons and VFW.
Floyd enjoyed computering, electronics, and yard work.
Floyd is survived by his wife Virginia Blackburn, his children Gary & Peggy, Bruce & Barbara Blackburn. Grandchildren Brian, Lisa and Traci. Great grandchildren, Nik, Chaseti, Shelby and Taylor Ann.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Gus Blackburn, brothers Sam and Robert Blackburn, and daughter Ann.
