FIZZ! BOOM! READ!

Seven-year-old Logan Jonas and his 3-year-old brother Nolan brought their parents Kayla and Matt Jonas into the children's library to sign up for the summer reading program. If you missed kick-off day for the summer reading program, it's not too late. Just come into the children's library downstairs in the Humboldt County Library; sign-ups are open through the first week of August.

Close to 300 young people signed up for Humboldt County Library's Summer Reading Program last Friday, but Childrens' Librarian Jessica Anderson said the opportunity to sign up for "Fizz, Boom, Read" and participate in all the library summer activities including craft programs, movies, and special guest presenters is ongoing throughout June and July - the cut-off time for reading logs isn't until Aug. 6. Summer reading keeps kids' minds working throughout the school vacation and as always, there will be great prizes for young people who read the most in their age group.

All that's needed is to bring the $3 sign-up fee to the children's library downstairs at the Humboldt County Library. Kids will get a packet including information and reading logs that are appropriate for their own age group.[[In-content Ad]]
