Fair Board the force behind a great Labor Day weekend

WINNEMUCCA -This year's Labor Day weekend has taken superhuman effort to organize and Tri-County Fair Board Chairman Darrel Field is sure glad he happened upon a few superheroes who were up to the job.

"They sure don't get a lot of credit, but they sure do deserve a lot," said Field about this year's Tri-County Fair Board. "I just can't say enough about these folks; I think fair goers will agree they know how to put on one great show."

This year's Fair Board, including members Stan Rorex, Susan Rorex, Roberta Rothwell, Howard Hammond and Field have logged hours and hours making sure that every event, every contest, every promotional spot, even the Fair Guide Book itself, is just right.

"These four people have made such a difference for us," said Field. "We could not have produced this year's show without them."

Agricultural District No. 3 Director Kim Petersen said the board members are very dedicated to producing a first-class community event. "That's what makes them so dynamite," he said. "They concentrate on what's important to them-and that's putting on a great 2013 weekend."

The Tri-County Fair & Stampede is scheduled for Thursday, August 29, through Sunday, September 1. For more information, visit www.LaborDayFair.com or call (775) 623-5071, ext. 102, or (800) 962-2638, ext. 102.[[In-content Ad]]
