Esmeralda "Lili" Avalos Ramos, 17, of Winnemucca passed away Saturday April 28, 2012, in Winnemucca as a result of a tragic accident.
She was born Sept. 20, 1994, in Winnemucca to Angelica Avalos and Ismael Ramos. She was a junior at Albert M. Lowry High School. Lili loved to dance and play all kinds of sports. She was always active from playing basketball with her brothers and sisters, to wrestling with her cousins or dancing with her friends. Lili never backed down from a challenge. Outgoing, funny and friendly, but always honest, she loved to make everyone laugh. Unafraid to show her true self, she always spoke her mind. She always followed her favorite teams when she couldn't be out playing herself. Her dream was to finish high school and make her mom and family proud. Our beautiful angel, you will always be with us.
Lili is survived by her parents, Angelica Avalos and Ismael Ramos; grandparents, Liduvina Lupercio and Jesus Ramos; brothers, Salvador, Ismael and Isaac; and sisters, Perla, Julie, Ruby, Angelica, Yesenia and Alicia. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Abuelito Salvador Avalos.
Recitation of the Rosary will take place at 9:30 a.m. Friday May 4, 2012, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Winnemucca followed by the Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Jose Sobarzo as celebrant. Committal services will follow at the Winnemucca Cemetery immediately following the Mass. Condolences may be left for the family at Esmeralda's memorial site at albertsonfuneralhome.com.
