A Ford F-250 collided with a power pole on West Sixth Street Sunday morning and knocked out power to 365 customers including St. Paul's Catholic Church. Power was out for about one hour beginning at about 10:23 a.m in the vicinity of Sonoma Heights. NV Energy crews were able to isolate the damage and restored power to all but nine customers. Those customers had their power restored at about 3:15 p.m., said Faye Andersen, spokesperson for NV Energy. Winnemucca Police officials said the accident is still under investigation. Andersen reminds customers that downed power lines are extremely dangerous and to keep clear.[[In-content Ad]]
