Eleanor was the oldest daughter of Harry and Mary Wetmore (both deceased) and had five siblings, Donald Wetmore (deceased), Ruth Helen Stroud, John Wetmore, Eugene Wetmore, and Joy Koonz.
She is also survived by her husband Ronald; three children: Alice Phetteplace, Louise Greathead, Bruce Greathead,; seven grandchildren: Heather Kahn-Bowmans, Benjamin Smith, Cristina Souder, Nathan Smith, Shaleah Greathead, Mackenzie Greathead, Alexia Greathead; 12 great grandchildren: Hailey Smith, Hope Smith, Hannah Smith, Brennan Smith, Zander Smith, Mckenna Marshall-Souder, Logan Marshall-Souder, Avery Marshall-Souder, Andrew Souder, Claire Souder, Ellie Smith and Clark Smith.
Until the age of 10 Eleanor lived in Illinois, at which time her family moved to the Bay Area in California. In 1961 she moved with Ronald and her two girls, Alice and Louise, to Winnemucca, Nev. Except for short periods spent in Arizona, Eleanor has called northern Nevada her home for the remainder of her years.
The oldest of the six children, she is remembered fondly by her siblings as "an angel" - kind, loving, patient, wise, and let her love for Jesus shine as an example to her younger brothers and sisters. She was actively involved in her church community and the Navigators.
Eleanor's adult life was family centered. In addition to being active in the family farming business and treasurer for R Greathead and Son Farming, Inc., she also worked for the U.S. Forest Service and LW Peraldo Company Inc. in Winnemucca, Midway Market in Battle Mountain, and the Bureau of Land Management, both in Battle Mountain and Winnemucca.
She was an active member of her church community, was appointed as the secretary for the Northeast Baptist Association for several years and at times taught Sunday school, lead children's musicals, and was the pianist. Eleanor glorified God in all she did in her life, passing this legacy on to her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Her heart and purpose was always to point others to Christ.
