The Winnemucca eighth-grade girls traveling basketball team recently went to the Crash-the-Boards tournament in Nampa, Idaho for the first time and came away with the championship.
Winnemucca defeated the Emmett Huskies 35-9, the Lonestar Longhorns 62-17, and Hoop Dreams 33-25.
The Lady Warriors met up with Hoop Dreams in the championship game, which resulted in a 42-33 win for the Lady Warriors. All four games were played in one day.[[In-content Ad]]
