Eddie Lee Moravec, born May 16, 1941, in Redding, Calif., to Virginia and Jesse Moravec succeeded his parents in death when he passed away on Oct. 10, 2011, surrounded by his loving family in Folsom, Calif.

A 1959 graduate from Shasta High School in Redding, Calif., Eddie lived the better part of his life in Winnemucca where he owned/operated Eddies Chevron for several years and raised a family with his wife Barbara.

Eddie loved hunting, fishing and spending time with family/friends, and his one wish was simply to be remembered as a good guy. Eddie is dearly missed in the hearts of his surviving family: sister Delores Jean Moravec-Hopkins, daughter Bobbi Shahmirzadi, sons Eddie Moravec, Brian Moravec, and Jesse Moravec as well as four grandchildren: Bryce, Trevor, Dara and Lilly.

A private family service was held in the Cloverdale Cemetery on Nov. 10, 2011, and a memorial service to celebrate Eddie's life will be held later near Anderson, Calif.: date is undetermined.
