BATTLE MOUNTAIN - Early voting starts on Oct. 20 and will run until Nov. 2 at the Battle Mountain Civic Center.
A large voter turnout is expected and people are encouraged to vote early, said Deputy Clerk Molly Gonzalez.
Hours for early voting are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The polls will be closed on Sundays.
People from precincts 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 will vote in person and people from precincts 6, 7, 8 and 9 will vote by mail-in ballot, said Gonzalez. The mail-in ballots have already gone out.
The general election is Nov. 6 and voting will be held at the Civic Center from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The deadline for voter registration online and mail-in was Oct. 6 and for walk-ins, the deadline was at 7 p.m. on Oct. 16.
