Douglas Lee Sandusky

Doug passed away at age 49 while living in Springfield, Miss. Doug was born in Coffeyville, Kan., to Burl and Roberta Sandusky on Aug. 15, 1965. He attended and graduated from Pershing County High School. After graduating he was employed at Packard before enlisting in the Navy where he served as a helicopter mechanic. After leaving the Navy he attended DeVry in Phoenix, Ariz. After graduating from DeVry he spent time in Liberia employed by a large casino resort as an electronics technician. Upon returning to the states he spent a few months traveling before returning to South Africa for work in Ghana and the Ivory Coast. When Doug returned to the states he went to Alaska for work on a fishing boat working in the Bering Sea. He had recently moved to Springfield, Miss. Doug is survived by his parents Burl and Roberta Sandusky, brother Chuck (Sheri), John (Tracy), Dave (Yuka), and sister Brenda Mangaoang (Virgil), several nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
