Humboldt General Hospital CEO Jim Parrish presents a $500 check to Alaine Nye and Yoana Chavez from the Frontier Community Action Agency for their Hope Tree program. This brings the hospital's total donation to $1,500. The HGH donation, combined with a generous donation from Hycroft, has allowed the FCAA to reach its goal of $5,000, according to Nye. The Hope Tree program will create grief support groups for the community and training for facilitators begins Sept. 5.
