On Sept. 30 the Grass Valley Advisory Board presented a check in the amount of $751 to the Grass Valley Volunteer Fire Department. The funds were raised at a rummage sale, which the advisory board held in August and was greatly supported by the community. Pictured is Marge Workman, chair of the rummage sale, Annette Stripe, chairperson of the advisory board, Gary Herley, fire chief, and fireman Shawn James. Also pictured are members of the advisory board, Sean Burke (who happens to be assistant fire chief) and Liz Barnard, board member.
