Donald Duane Scott, 79, went home to be with our good lord with his family at his side on June 25, 2013.
He was born to Claude and Vivian Scott on Dec 16, 1933, in Minot, N.D. He was the oldest of eight children, Shirley, Bob, Steve, Mike, Jimmy, Sandy and Gerald.
He entered the Air Force in 1951 to 1959. While in the service he married his first wife Iris in England. They had three children, Tina, Dean, and Tony. He moved to California and worked in the oil fields until he broke his back and divorced his first wife.
Donald met and married his present wife Patricia in 1964. Patricia had four children, Wayne, Elaine, Calvin and Penny. Donald and Patricia had two children, Sherry and Claude. They raised their nine children in California.
Donald worked as a cook in California and Nevada until retiring. He moved his family to Winnemucca in the 1980s and lived here until his passing. He loved taking his family on trips, fishing, playing with his family and listening to his country music.
He is preceeded in death by his father Claude, mother Vivian, brothers, Jimmy, Gerald and son, Dean. He is servived by his wife Patricia (Winnemucca), sons Wayne and Patricia Kranz (California), Calvin and Dixie Kranz (California), Tony Scott (Winnemucca), Claude Scott (Elko), Daughters Elaine and Danny Hendrix (Winnemucca), Tina and Marty Camou (Winnemucca), Penny Ball (California), Sherry Hernandez (Winnemucca), Brothers Bob and Judy Scott (Winnemucca), Steve and Denise Scott (California), Mike and Frances Scott (California), sisters Sandy Scott (California), Shirley Scott (California), 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grand children, two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all of his loved ones.
A service for his life will be held on Aug. 14, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Albertson Funeral Home.[[In-content Ad]]
