Diane Kathleen Forest Clarno of Winnemucca passed away on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011. She went peacefully, attended by her son and brother. She had just turned 68.
Diane was born in Pueblo, Colo., on Nov. 28, 1943, to Clarence and Jenny Katherine Forest. Along with her three siblings, Charles, Marion, and Dean, the family moved to Utah, then came to Nevada living in Jungo, Lovelock, Tungsten, and settled finally in Winnemucca. She married twice; first, to George Beresford, with whom she had three sons, then to Charles Clarno, with whom she had two sons.
Diane was fiercely devoted to her family and preferred to spend her time connecting with the numerous members scattered around the country, along with her friends and neighbors at home.
She is survived by her three sons; Troy Beresford, William and Tina Clarno, and Chad and Paige Clarno, along with their father Charles; her three grandchildren; Derek and Katie Beresford, Tessa and Larry LaBarr, and Robert Sean Beresford, along with mother Lori Dodson; and her great-granddaughter McKenna LaBarr. She is also survived by her brother Charles Forest and family; her sister Marion's family; and her brother Dean Forest and family. She joins at last her two sons Kerry Beresford (d.1965) and Robert Dean Beresford Clarno (d.1981), as well as her sister Marion and parents.
A celebration of her life is being held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 111 W. McArthur Ave. at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, with Bishop Kent Maher officiating, followed by a service at the Winnemucca Cemetery.
