On Sept. 2, my house was burglarized. I called the sheriff's office dispatch and had an officer at my residence within minutes of the call.
The reason for the letter is to publicly thank the four deputies for the speed and efficiency in apprehending the suspect and recovering the stolen property. Due to their hard work, I was identifying my property within two hours of the initial phone call to the dispatch office.
My family and I are so very grateful. Thank you from the Schere family to Deputy Gary Campbell, Deputy Alex Rangel, Deputy Mathew Levi, and Deputy Anna Day, along with the Lander County dispatch office. Knowing you are out there serving the community helps us sleep better at night.
