Dennler plans to attend Stanford University, where she will major in Bio-Engineering. She would like to pursue a career in the medical field, she said.

"I want to do cancer research or brain research," Dennler said.

Her favorite class is science; research science to be exact. Dennler recently completed an experiment where she produced electricity from Humboldt River mud in her science class with teacher Valdine McLean.

She later exhibited her experiment at the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium in Berkeley, Calif. Dennler has participated in two JSHS events and three International Science Engineering fairs.

Dennler said she will miss the community, her friends and high school.

"Everyone is so supportive of everyone here. I wish I could be out on my own without moving," she said.

As far as leaving PCHS Dennler said, "I'll miss high school but this is the perfect time to end it and move on to the next stage in life."

After college Dennler says she will go wherever she can find work.

"I'm sure I'll come back to say hi. I'll miss my family and friends but we can Skype," Dennler said.

Dennler left this comment for her classmates, "Be yourself and have fun with life."
