Denio and Kings River schools recently held their awards banquet for the basketball season at the Kings River Community Hall. The students from the two schools competed together as one team during the rural basketball season.
The Division 1 award winners included Layton Johnson (all-around), Maria Barcenas (best defense), Bruno Rincon (best offense), Joshua Miranda (most improved) and Pedro Miranda (sportsmanship).
The Division 2 award winners were Gael Rincon (all-around),MattieRose Johnson (best defense), Eddie Gomez Carillo (best offense), Lidia Barcenas (most improved) and Alondra Rodriquez (sportsmanship).
The awards were presented by coaches Diana Allen and Bobby Putney, who were thanked for all of their hard work they gave to the teams.[[In-content Ad]]
