Despite going undefeated in the Division I-A North and winning its second consecutive regional championship, the Lowry High School girls basketball team had just one player on the all-league first team.

Senior Alyssa Dendary was chosen for the first team and was the lone Buckaroo named to the all state team. The senior also received first-team honors at the state level. Dendary was the only Lowry player to average double figures in points. She also averaged 2.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 steals.

Chelsea Cabatbat, in her second varsity season with the Lady Bucks, was named the Division I-A North Coach of the Year. Lowry went 16-0 in the Division I-A North and reached the state tournament for a second straight season. The Lady Bucks fell to Faith Lutheran in the state semifinals.

Spring Creek's Maddy Merschel was named the Player of the Year in the Division I-A North. The remainder of the first team included Elko's Desirea Danner, Churchill County's Ali Tedford, Fernley's Lynsee Ferretto, South Tahoe's Ally King and Truckee's Sydney Mock.

The Lady Bucks' Jasmine Marchand and Kylee McClellan were selected to the second team. Marchand averaged 5.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.6 steals a game. McClellan scored 4.7 points a game and had 2.6 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.4 assists a game.

The second team was rounded out by Dayton's Angela Sikora, Sparks' Marisa Coleman, Churchill County's Megan McCormick and Elko's Hailee Simpson.

Lowry's Jillian Albright and Payton Naveran were named honorable mention. Naveran was Lowry's leading rebounder at 8.0 a game and she scored 5.4 points a game. Albright netted 6.0 points a game, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists.

The remainder of that group included Elko's Emily Elquist and Marissa Sandoval, Spring Creek's Johanna Marcille and Kristin Jordt, Churchill County's Maggie O'Flaherty, Sparks' Driftwind Nau and South Tahoe's Drue Chapman.

Joining Dendary on the all state first team was Merschel and Ferretto. The second team, all-state selections were Tedford, King, Mock and Danner.
