Fourteen Lander County residents showed up to the Democratic presidential caucus held Jan. 21 at the Super 8 in Battle Mountain. No one volunteered to serve as a delegate and there will be no Lander County Democratic convention. Various draft platform resolutions were voted on. Ruth McKinsey (center) and Sheila Miller (left) helped Frank Whitman, of Austin, sign in at the event. Miller and McKinsey co-coordinated the event and Miller served as chair.
