Delores Crutcher Dave, 54, passed from this earth on Oct. 6, 2014, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nev.
Delores was born Feb. 18, 1960, at Fort McDermitt, Nev., to Ben and Grace Crutcher where she lived her life surrounded by family and community. Delores married Andrew J. Dave and they together raised their two daughters.
After graduating from McDermitt Combined High School she continued her education at Job Corp. in Reno, Nev., then furthering her education at Great Basin College. Deloris worked for 24 years with Humboldt County School District as an instructional assistant. She served two years as a Tribal Council Member for the Fort McDermitt Paiute Shoshone Tribe.
Delores enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, reading, doing all types of crafts, and always being involved in community activities and putting together family functions.
Delores is survived by her husband Andrew J. Dave, her daughters Shirley G. Smart and Deandra Redleaf Dave, grandchildren Cierra S. Smart and Trevor D. Smart and numerous nieces and nephews. Her father Ben Crutcher, half brothers Wilford Crutcher, Sr., Richard Crutcher and half sister Diana Smart and sister Gertrude Crutcher.
She was precede in death by her mother Grace Hinkey Crutcher brothers Anthony and Gerald Crutcher and half brother Winslow D. Miller and half sister Darlene Monday.
Delores' family would like to thank all those who helped in their time of sorrow and those we forgot to mention.
Services were held at Fort McDermitt on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, under the direction of Sonoma Funeral Home.[[In-content Ad]]
