David Lorain passed away on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Saint Mary's Hospital.
David was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Feb. 9, 1935, to John and Faye Lorain. He was the youngest of six children. He attended school in Filer, Idaho, where he graduated high school. He then went on to college at the University of Pocatello, Idaho for electronics. There he went in to the Army for two years as a radio technician. With his experience he started working as a TV and radio technician at Paul Kay's TV's in Idaho and then moved to Winnemucca and worked for City Electric for 10 years, and later C.B. Browns for 30 years, then went on his own for two years as Dale's TV Service.
David loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, and hunting with his wife and children.
David is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 50 years. They were married on Sept. 7, 1963, in Winnemucca; son Dan Lorain of Currie, Nev., his twin daughter Leslie (Randy) Hesterlee and grandchildren Quinn Hesterlee, Reanna Hesterlee of Spring Creek, Nev., his twin daughter Linda Beebie and grandson Spencer Beebie of Winnemucca.
David is preceded in death by his father John, mother Faye Lorain, sister Mabel Lorain, sister Louise Claughton and brother-in-law Matthew Claughton, brother John Lorain, father-in-law Tex Bonnet, mother-in-law Zane Bonnet, and son-in-law Michael Beebie.
At his request no services will be held. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice. He will truly be missed.[[In-content Ad]]
