The Winnemucca Downtown Business Association held their first ever Dames N Design Gala along with the Humboldt Volunteer Hospice on May 10. The 240-plus attendees were treated to drinks, music, a fashion show and raffle. The event was held to celebrate all women, said DBA Vice President Jacy Jackson, and this year honored one in particular: Mimi Drake, who organizers described as a pioneer in business for over 49 years. Drake's granddaughters and great-granddaughters were able to attend the event. Above, fashion models showed off local fare.
