Dalena Lynae Barr was born on Sept. 27, 1987, in Boise, Idaho, to Valerie and Dale Barr; she entered into eternal rest on Jan. 4, 2012, in Winnemucca.
Dalena is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Velma Hardin and Raymond Harjo Sr., paternal grandfather, Donald Barr Sr.; paternal great-grandparents, Elsie Crutcher and Joseph Sam; maternal uncles Michael Harjo and Raymond Harjo Jr. and maternal aunt Cheryl Harjo; paternal uncles Donald Barr Jr., Dallas Barr, Justin Barr, and Blaine Barr; and cousin Adrian Gene Abel.
Dalena is survived by her partner in life, Derrick Crutcher and children, DeJay, Samuel, and Serenja Crutcher; parents, Valerie (Harjo) Barr and Dale Barr both of Fort McDermitt, sisters, Shelley Harjo of Reno, Sheila Barr, Lavon Barr of Fort McDermitt, Carrie Barr and Kristen Barr of Owyhee; brothers, Chad Crutcher, Kesley Barr and Billy Bell of Fort McDermitt, Delson Barr of Winnemucca, Jared Barr of Owyhee and Dale Barr Jr. of Yakima, Wash.; maternal aunt, Ramona Malone of Carson City and paternal grandmother Justine Barr of Fort McDermitt.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the Tribal Gym, Fort McDermitt with dinner set for 11 a.m. in the Tribal Youth Center. Viewing and visitation is set for Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. at House #23 North Road, Fort McDermitt Indian Reservation with interment at the Fort McDermitt Indian Cemetery.
