Curtis inducted into the Hall of Fame

WINNEMUCCA - Walt Curtis was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame of EDGE & TA (Early Days Gas Engine & Tractor Association) at a national show in Huntley, Mont. Curtis is committed to restoring, collecting and preserving antique tractors, engines and farming memorabilia.

Curtis is a collector of all types of antique collectibles. Curtis has flywheel engines, cats, boat engines, several hundred tractors and just about every other type of collectible imaginable.

Curtis is always showing his collection to someone. It doesn't matter if they're local or from somewhere in the U.S. or even from overseas. Knowledgeable in all aspects of machinery, Curtis is always rebuilding or repairing something on his antique equipment or helping someone with a problem or question.

The Curtis' also own the field across the road from his shop on Grass Valley Road, where you might find him working his antique equipment. He might be mowing or baling hay, combining grain and of course planting corn. It takes more than a fancy paint job on a piece of equipment to impress Walt. It also has to work - this is Walt's proving ground.
