WINNEMUCCA -The annual Fifties Fever celebration is looking for crafters and vendors interested in capitalizing on one of Winnemucca's favorite weekends.
Winnemucca will host its annual classic car fest from Friday, August 3, through Sunday, August 5, and participants will enjoy everything from classic car shows to kid contests, street drags, a poker run, free concerts and great food, drinks and crafts.
The Fifties Fever Craft Fair is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, August 5, in the East Hall of the Winnemucca Convention Center. Crafters from all areas are invited to participate.
For those vendors wishing to sell food, drinks or other goods, the Nixon Lawn will be made available, also from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 5.
According to Darrel Field, the Marketing and Special Events Coordinator for the Winnemucca Convention and Visitors Authority, area crafters and vendors have the potential to make some great money during the popular Sunday activities scheduled at Nixon Park.
"We'll have our big Show 'N' Shine during the craft fair, contests for kids and teens, and a free concert featuring Dave Badilla," said Field. "It will be a fun day for everyone and a great time for our local crafters and vendors to sell their wares."
Cost for non-food sellers inside is $25; fees for outside sellers is $50, including food vendors.
Application forms are available at www.fifties-fever.com or contact Winnemucca Convention and Visitors Authority Marketing and Special Events Coordinator Darrel Field at (775) 623-5071, ext. 102 or toll-free at (800) 962-2638, ext. 102.
