Humboldt County commissioners will meet Monday, Dec. 15 starting at 9:30 a.m. The public has an opportunity to address the commission on any matter not appearing on the agenda at the beginning of the meeting, followed by approval of the minutes for several past meetings, and the administrative report.
9:45 a.m. - Commissioners will consider a request from the City of Winnemucca to rename the east hall of the convention center "Joe Mackie Hall."
10 a.m. - A public hearing is scheduled followed by possible adoption of an ordinance prohibiting any medical marijuana establishment in any zoning district in Humboldt County.
10:15 a.m. - Commissioners will review and possibly approve the 2014 Compensation and Classification Study for county employees.
10:30 a.m. - Charles Stempeck will discuss his request to purchase the old fire house in Paradise Valley.
10:45 a.m. - County department heads will make requests for waivers to the attrition policy - including a net tech position in the IT Department and a residential technician for Youth and Family services.
10:55 a.m. - Commissioners will review and possibly approve the 2015 calendar of county commission meetings.
11:05 a.m. - Road matters
11:15 a.m. - The audit will be presented for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2014.
11:45 a.m. - Acceptance of the audit engagement letter for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015.
1:30 p.m. - Commissioners will consider a resolution adopting a settlement agreement with property owners near the county firing range, including a boundary line adjustment, deed and review of an agreement requiring environmental insurance.
2 p.m. - Commissioners will be going over the PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) strategic plan prepared by the Abaris Group and possibly making decisions to implement the recommendations in the report.
