WINNEMUCCA - The Winnemucca City Council will hold its regular meeting today at 2 p.m. at Winnemucca City Hall, 90 W. Fourth St.
The meeting begins with the call to order and Pledge of Allegiance, correction and possible approval of the April 17 regular meeting minutes, possible approval of warrants and public and personal communication and correspondence.
Agenda items include variance VW-12-10. This would reduce side and rear yard setbacks from 5 feet to 0 feet in an R-2 (Multiple family-residential) zoning district at 540 W. Second St. (APN 015-134-05/Garteiz).
Also scheduled is a temporary street closure request for the Basque Festival parade on Saturday, June 9, at 11 a.m. The affected area includes Winnemucca Boulevard from the Model T Motel parking lot to Hurst Street (adjacent to the Verner Chiropractic office).
The council will also discuss an April 9 letter from the Nevada Department of Transportation regarding the determination of a shortage of NDOT funds to commit to traffic control at the Haskell-Bridge Street intersection.
In addition, the council will discuss the Winnemucca Police Department policy manual.
